Privacy policy

In short

For your own collage you need an account with your email address. We store your email address and your collage so you have it on all your devices. You can view the example collage without an account. We don't sell data and we don't show ads.

Account and sign-in with a code

All you need for an account is your email address. To sign in, we email you a one-time code each time; there is no password. We store your email address, the time you registered and last signed in, and technically necessary session data.

With an account we also store the content of your collage: destinations, activities, notes, status and images you upload. The legal basis is the performance of the user agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

You can delete your account yourself at any time (Settings, “Delete account”). This immediately and completely deletes your email address and your collage. Alternatively, an informal email to kontakt@vagabundia.com is enough.

Your account and collage are stored by Supabase Inc. on servers in the EU (Frankfurt am Main). Supabase processes the data as a processor on our instructions. The emails with your sign-in code are sent on our behalf by Resend Inc. (servers in the EU, Ireland).

Hosting and server logs

The site is operated by Vercel Inc. (USA) and delivered via servers in the EU. When you visit, technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) is processed to deliver and secure the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Images from Unsplash

Photos are loaded directly from the servers of Unsplash Inc. (USA). In the process, your IP address is transmitted to Unsplash. Details: Unsplash privacy policy.

When you search for images while adding a destination, our server sends the search term to the Unsplash API (without your IP address). If you pick an image, we report this to Unsplash as a download, as their terms require. No personal data is involved.

Fonts

All fonts are served from our own server. No connection to Google is made.

Storage in your browser

Your collage and, if you are signed in, your session are stored in your browser (localStorage and a session cookie). If you switch the language, we also store your choice in a cookie. This is technically necessary for the app to work (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). When you sign out, we remove the collage from this device; it remains in your account.

Cookies and analytics

We don't use tracking cookies or analytics tools.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
